Dog Barking – Who to Contact

If you are experiencing persistent or excessive barking from a dog in your area, this can be reported to Dorset Council’s Environmental Health team, who are responsible for investigating potential noise nuisance.

Residents can report concerns directly to Dorset Council using their noise nuisance service. You may be asked to keep a record of the dates, times and duration of the barking to assist with any investigation.

Please note that Owermoigne Parish Council does not have powers to investigate or take enforcement action in relation to noise nuisance, so concerns should be reported directly to Dorset Council.
